Teachers Who Turn Practice into Purpose

Meet our team

Aleyna Besmer

Aleyna was introduced to yoga in college while picking up an extra unit, but it wasn’t until years later — after becoming a runner, a mom of four, and an oncology dietitian — that yoga truly found her. Through breath, quiet, strength, and stillness, she began to feel like herself again. After completing her 200-hour teacher training, Aleyna now shares the peace and presence she found, hoping to offer others a moment to breathe, reset, and reconnect.

Amanda Stetler

Amanda has been practicing yoga for over 16 years and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from Fresno State. After years spent in Kansas City and Denver, she and her husband now call the foothills of Coarsegold home, where they raise their three children. Amanda also teaches at Clovis Community College, where she loves introducing students to the strength and peace yoga can offer. Her favorite part of teaching is helping each student step into their own power — both on and off the mat.

Amanda Nicolson

Amanda’s path began in dance and evolved into a lifelong passion for movement, mindfulness, and psychology. With a Ph.D. in psychology and over two decades of teaching experience, she brings a thoughtful and empowering approach to yoga. Certified at the 500-hour level, Amanda guides students in connecting brain, body, mind, and spirit — both on and off the mat. Outside of the studio, she runs a behavioral health company and enjoys life in the foothills with her family, two dogs, and a “dogcat.”

A proud graduate of Rooted Heart Yoga’s first 200-hour teacher training, Austen is committed to offering a practice that supports mindfulness, strength, balance, and mobility for every body.
